Nancy Watson, R.N., a certified lactation consultant, gets ready to make her rounds.

St. Anthony’s Medical Center celebrated World Breastfeeding Week, Aug. 1 through 8, by offering their new moms a “happy hour” at 3 p.m. each day.

St. Anthony’s lactation consultants visited the moms, offering a mid-afternoon feast of cheese and crackers, candy and non-alcoholic beverages, put together by the staff of St. Anthony’s Family Birth Center. Newborns received shirts proclaiming, “breastfed is bestfed.”
