Level 1 Stroke Center

St. Anthony’s is among the first group of hospitals to be certified by the state of Missouri as a Level One Stroke Center, the highest level of stroke care available, making it one of the few hospitals in the St. Louis region and the southernmost hospital in the metro area to receive the certification. Nurses week

National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6 (also known as National Nurses Day) through May 12 (the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing).

HeartSaver AED CPR Class

Earn a two-year certification from the American Heart Association, following completion of course and demonstration of skills for responding to adults, infants and children experiencing breathing and cardiac emergencies. (This is not the required class for EMT/Nursing healthcare professionals.)

St. Anthony's electrophysiology lab was the first in the Midwest to have the Carto3 heart mapping system, which enables doctors to build a three-dimensional model of each patient's heart prior to surgery.
