Level 1 Stroke Center

St. Anthony’s is among the first group of hospitals to be certified by the state of Missouri as a Level One Stroke Center, the highest level of stroke care available, making it one of the few hospitals in the St. Louis region and the southernmost hospital in the metro area to receive the certification. Learn to Act FAST!

Join St. Anthony’s experts from our Level 1 Stroke Center to learn how to act FAST for Stroke. St. Anthony’s professionals will be providing free blood pressures along with valuable information on stroke risk factors, signs and symptoms.

Date: Wednesday, May 6, 2015
Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: South County Center, near food court

HeartSaver AED CPR Class

Earn a two-year certification from the American Heart Association, following completion of course and demonstration of skills for responding to adults, infants and children experiencing breathing and cardiac emergencies. (This is not the required class for EMT/Nursing healthcare professionals.)

Time: 6 to 9 p.m.

In 2014, volunteers between the ages of 14 and 94 years old provided 44,063 hours of service to St. Anthony's. The national estimated value of volunteer time is $22.55 an hour, which means our volunteers' efforts were worth $993,621.
