Celebrate Kick Butts Day by working to quit tobacco
Kick Butts Day (March 19) encourages everyone to live tobacco-free and send the right message to children to protect them from tobacco. In the United States, 70 percent of the 45.3 million smokers say they want to kick the habit, but that requires help.
St. Anthony’s offers a Smoking Cessation class to give smokers the tools they need to Kick Butts. Our program was developed through recommendations set by the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The goal of Smoking Cessation is to inform smokers about the negative impacts, treatment options and choices; to guide them toward making the changes needed for their individual circumstances; and to empower them to make the changes necessary.
Smoking Cessation meets on Thursday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Each six-week session costs $120, with the next session running from April 3 to May 8. Anyone interested in attending should call 314-525-7296.
