Free help navigating Medicare

Free assistance is available at St. Anthony’s Medical Center for people on Medicare who are sorting through the maze of information about their coverage.

Trained volunteer counselors based at St. Anthony’s are part of CLAIM, the State Health Insurance Assistance Program. CLAIM works closely with community partners such as St. Anthony’s, which is located at 10010 Kennerly Road in south St. Louis County.

CLAIM counselors meet with Medicare beneficiaries to confidentially answer questions and discuss issues regarding coverage, benefits and claims. Counselors are unbiased and not affiliated with the insurance industry. The program ensures its volunteers undergo extensive training to become certified Medicare counselors. They receive updates and continuing education on a regular basis.

CLAIM receives funding through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the federal Medicare agency, and the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration. To schedule a session with a CLAIM counselor at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, call 1-800-390-3330 or visit http://missouriclaim.org.
