A day in the lab with Sue Munton

Sue Munton is a Medical Technologist II and a Team Lead in the Core Lab of St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis, Mo. She knows how to operate and fix all of the analyzers in the lab. Munton says her job is fantastic. "I love my job and the people I work with. I learn something new every day."

A day in the lab with Sharon Duessel

Sharon Duessel is a Medical Technologist II in the Microbiology Lab at St. Anthony's Medical Center. She works with almost every body fluid to determine if there is an infection, what the infection is and how to treat it. This video shows Duessel going about her daily activities at work. She says her job is "Messy, not dirty. The specimens I work with aren't appealing to most people. I think my job is exciting; the things we come across are interesting."

Sister Sandra's Jubilee

On Wednesday, April 27, 2011, a mass was held at St. Anthony's Medical Center in honor of Sister Sandra Straub's 50th year as a vowed religious member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Sister Sandra Straub is the director of Mission Integration at St. Anthony's. She is responsible for integrating St. Anthony's mission into the daily work of its staff and overseeing the pastoral services provided to patients.
