Janet Luck, MT II - How cool would it be to work at St. Anthony's...
The Nurse Residency Program (NRP) was created with The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health Institute of Medicine report recommendations in conjunction with research focused on orientation and patient outcomes that was conducted at St. Anthony's Medical Center.
The NRP is a hospital-based education program provided for newly licensed nurses graduated from accredited nursing programs at the BSN level. This program includes a 10-week directed clinical orientation with oversight from an Advanced Clinical Expert (ACE) and 12 months of continuing education designed to increase the knowledge and support of the nurse resident. The NRP supports the transition of a novice nurse to advanced beginner in a collaborative, hands-on, supportive environment.
