Prompt, professional and courteous treatment from the moment I walked through the door
First off, I would like to thank Dr. Joyce with Women's Health Partners, the entire Interventional Radiology Department, the 8th floor staff, and of course the emergency department staff for the excellent service that they provided me during such a difficult time.
On March 6, I went to the ER with abdominal pain. I was quickly taken to Triage and immediatley taken to a room (all within 15 minutes of walking in the door!) The ER staff was very professional and caring. I ended up having an ectopic pregnancy and my fallopian tube ruptured causing the pain. They called Dr. Joyce in to perform emergency surgery. She was the best doctor for a situation like this - immediatley upon meeting, I knew that I could trust her and that she cared for me. Her bed side manner was extrememly genuine. She was truly concerned for me! She had Dr. Collins assist her with the surgery, and she was also wonderful. After the surgery, I was taken to the 8th floor for my 2 days of inpatient care. Everyone was extremely nice there as well!
Weeks after my surgery, I had developed a (never-ending!) seroma. I went to Dr. Joyce and she called down to Interventional Radiology (IR). They quickly fit me in their busy schedules to drain the seroma. The care I received from that department was tremendous! I have never met a group of people that were so genuine and professional. From the nurses taking my blood pressure, to the ones prepping me for my procedure, to the doctors performing the procedure - they were all great! I ended up having to go back and have the seroma drained and aspirated 5 times total and every time the IR department was great! By the end of all the procedures, they knew me by name when I walked in the door!
After six months, I still cannot say enough wonderful things about your staff. We are from Belleville, IL and we usually went to hospitals over there even though my husband worked for St. Anthonys, but from now on, I will always CHOOSE St. Anthonys!
