Classes & Events

Our community is important to us: we want to help you stay healthy and to be up-to-date on the latest news in health care. Here are some of the latest classes, seminars, tours and other events we've developed with you in mind.

Please note: a 10 percent discount will be offered for seniors, St. Anthony's employees (who must use their valid St. Anthony's e-mail address when registering) or those enrolling in multiple paid classes. If you have any questions about our classes, please call 314-ANTHONY (268-4669).

Parenting Your Teenager: Concepts from Love and Logic

Tuesday, May 24 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM

During six group sessions, participants learn how to engage their child’s willing cooperation; avoid unwinnable power struggles and arguments; stay calm and empathetic in upsetting situations; set enforceable limits; deal with their child’s negative feelings (frustration, disappointment, anger); avoid enabling and start empowering their kids; and raise children who are family team members.

Instructed by Kelly Feder. Tension in the shoulders, chest, upper back and jaw restricts our breathing, ability to concentrate, and creates neck strain. In this six-week class, a Certified Feldenkrais TeacherĀ® will help you discover your unconscious muscular holding patterns that create tension and cause discomfort. You will learn ways that you can change these habits to a more functional and pleasurable organization of the shoulders, neck, and upper back. If you suffer from migraines, TMJ or repetitive stress injuries of the arms, the Feldenkrais MethodĀ® could help you.

This class meets 4 times, each Thursday May 26 through June 16, 2016.
