The Auxiliary of St. Anthony’s is proud to be donating $300,000 to benefit patients and departments throughout St. Anthony’s. The money will be used to purchase new equipment to improve patient care.
Members of the Auxiliary’s board voted unanimously to approve the $300,000 donation to the medical center, with a request the donation be used to buy more than three dozen items from the medical center’s three-year capital budget list. Members made their selections after researching the requests and interviewing St. Anthony’s leaders.
The funds were raised under the presidency of Helen Hornak, immediate past president, and consisted mainly of income from St. Anthony’s gift shop and vending services. The Auxiliary’s income also includes periodic sales of items including pretzels, books, mums and other fundraisers.
