Expertise Makes the Difference

Concerned about your hearing?

Take our hearing test developed by the American Academy of Audiology.

Audiologists can determine the cause of your hearing loss and provide options to help you hear. “Digital technology can minimize background noise while making conversations easier to understand,” explains Doctor of Audiology Lauren Felton. “We take into account what’s bothering a patient and adjust a hearing aid to match their preferences.”

Hearing aid

Expertise is critical because some hearing centers and discount stores simply dispense amplifiers or hearing aids without a true audiology evaluation. If you need a hearing aid, there’s a wide array of options and costs. The latest models are virtually invisible, Bluetooth® compatible and have “surround sound” quality. At St. Anthony’s, the Audiology and Hearing Center follows a state-mandated “try it before you buy it” policy, allowing users to test hearing aids for up to 30 days.

“The difference here is individualized care, compassion and perseverance to help find a good solution to your hearing loss,” says Felton.
