A neonatal nurse practitioner is on-site at St. Anthony's 24 hours a day and neonatologists from Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center care for babies in the Special Care Nursery.

Neonatal services

St. Anthony's Medical Center offers a full range of neonatal intensive care services, including:

  • delivery of high-risk infants
  • premature babies
  • newborn resuscitation
  • specialized care for babies with respiratory problems requiring a ventilator
  • complete nutritional support
  • consultations with top-notch pediatricians and pediatric cardiologists

While we hope your baby never requires the high-level care that our Special Care Nursery offers, we also hope it is comforting to know such expertise is available to you — right near your home.
