Jean Woodward

Jean Woodward

Volunteer Jean Woodard was honored at the Ageless-Remarkable St. Louisans gala Nov. 6, 2011, hosted by the St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System. The event recognizes St. Louis area older adults for the incredible contributions they continue to make in their communities and on the job front well past the age of retirement.

Woodard, 91, is a retired nurse who graduated from nursing school at age 53. She continues to provide nursing care to patients at St. Anthony’s as an emergency department volunteer. Working each weekend and most holidays, Jean performs a variety of tasks, from delivering warm blankets and changing linens to pushing wheelchairs and spending time with patients.

Thanks, Jean, for your 15 years of wonderful service to St. Anthony’s!
