Your patient stories
I knew I'd found the right place for prostate cancer treatment.
I received news that wasn't good in the beginning of 2010. I had prostate cancer. My prostate was surgically removed in April of 2010 at St. Antony's. After a year it seemed that my PSA level was not yet where it needed to be for a person without a prostate. I was sent to the Oncologist at St. Anthony's for further treatment. He talked to my wife and me and asked first of all if he could pray for us. I was touched beyond expression as I am a religious man and a professional man of his stature would offer to pray with me. I knew I had found the right place for treatment as if God himself had spoken and directed my path. I went on to receive 39 radiation treatments under this oncologist's guidance.
Now, three years later I have just received another clean bill of health from my urologist, Dr. Walters. (He performed the surgery at St. Anthony's Medical Center). I consider this to be yet another amazing story as my cancer was the aggressive kind and the pathology report was not good after surgery.
Finally, I think God gave the special ability to my urologist, my ocologist and the wonderful staff at St. Anthony's and I am extremely greatful for their care as I feel like I have my life back again!
