The Norbert Siegfried Scholarship Program
2008 Scholarship Recipients
St. Anthony’s Medical Center Foundation, in partnership with the Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation, announced the winners of St. Anthony’s Medical Center’s Norbert Siegfried Scholarships for 2008. Sixty-three scholarships, totaling $412,000, were presented to deserving students in St. Anthony’s community. Click for news release.
Health Professions Scholarships
Fifteen new Health Professions Scholarships, worth $95,000, were awarded to students living in St. Anthony’s service area who are pursuing degrees in critical healthcare fields, and are within 48 months of graduating from Missouri colleges and universities or Southern Illinois University. Selection was based on academic achievement, demonstrated financial need and personal commitment to a career in health care.

- Nicholas Hennicke, south St. Louis County;
- Lauren Holdener, Waterloo, Ill.;
- Michael Hubbard, Bonne Terre;
- Kristen Johnson, Fenton;
- Tamra Keeney, Hillsboro;
- Carissa Landig, south St. Louis County;
- Sara Mallett, south St. Louis County;
- Andra Theobald, Waterloo, Ill.,
- and Charity Whitlock, Webster Groves.
Sons and Daughters of Employees Scholarships
Twenty-two new Sons and Daughters of Employees Scholarships, worth $112,000, were awarded to children of St. Anthony’s employees who are academically qualified with demonstrated financial need. These students will receive support to pursue an undergraduate degree in any field of study (not limited to health care) at any college or university in Missouri or Southern Illinois University.

St. Anthony’s Medical Center Foundation provided funding for both components of the St. Anthony’s Norbert Siegfried Scholarship Program. The Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation accepted and reviewed the applications and selected the winners. The renewable scholarships, ranging from $2,000 to $10,000, will be awarded annually.
