Your notes from the heart
I'm thankful for the fast relief for I got for my kidney stones.
I don't get sick very often, but when I do it’s a doozy! In 2010, I was working the night shift as a nurse at St. Anthony’s Medical Center when, all of a sudden, I started having excruciating pain on my right side. It was awful! Being the trooper that I am, I tried very hard to finish out my shift. Well, I didn't make it. The other nurses I work with told me right off the bat that I probably had a kidney stone. So I trudged down to our Emergency Department. They had me in a room within 10 minutes. The nurse and a nursing student came in, started an IV and fluids quickly, and got me pain medicine. I felt so much better! I got great care from the nurses, nurse assistants, doctors, and radiology department. The staff was prompt and came quickly any time I hit the call light and I even got a breakfast tray!
For a fairly healthy person this was a huge deal for me. I've been without kidney stones for 2 1/2 years and so thankful for the care I got.
