Patient Outcomes in Cardiac Services
St. Anthony’s Medical Center measures and monitors specific clinical outcomes to maintain and achieve superior patient care.
These measures are compared to national data and risk adjusted based on the demographics of St. Anthony’s patients such as age, gender and medical codes (diagnostic groups) for a specific condition or procedure and variations in the severity of illness. Risk-adjusted rates make the information more useful for comparing hospitals to national norms.
What Ranks Mean:
- A “low” rank means a hospital performed better than the national average.
- A “normal” rank means a hospital is consistent with the national average.
- A “high” rank means a hospital performed worse than the national average.
