Free Physician Series: 'The Doctor Is In' Topic "Hip & Knee Forum"

St. Anthony’s Medical Center is presenting a free series of programs featuring staff physicians answering questions about popular health topics.

“The Doctor Is In” series will present a “Hip and Knee Forum” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, presented by orthopedic surgeon Coles L’Hommedieu, M.D.

More than 17 million visits are made to physicians’ offices each year due to knee problems, and more than 200,000 adults over the age of 65 fracture their hips every year.  In fact, one in seven Americans has a musculoskeletal impairment.

Dr. L’Hommedieu will discuss orthopedic problems, including conditions, diseases and injuries that affect hips and/or knees, followed by a question-and-answer session.

The program will be at the Holiday Inn, South County, at I-55 and Lindbergh Boulevard.

Pie and coffee will be served at this free presentation.  Seating is limited, so advance registration is required.  For more information or to register, call 314-ANTHONY (268-4669) or 1-800-554-9550; or register online.
