New orthopedic and sports rehab facility opens

St. Anthony’s Medical Center recently opened a third location for outpatient physical therapy that focuses on orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. The new facility is called St. Anthony’s Orthopedic and Sports Rehab and is located at 12639 Old Tesson Road, Suite 120, in the Premier Care Orthopedics office building.

Like St. Anthony’s other Sports & Therapy Service venues, the new facility offers physical and occupational therapy and is staffed by physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and an occupational therapist.

The staff at this site is highly skilled in rehabilitation of orthopedic conditions, traumatic injuries and post-surgical cases, such as total joints, rotator cuff repairs, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repairs and tendon/nerve lacerations. Being in the same building with the orthopedic surgeons offers a unique advantage that facilitates prompt physician-therapist communication.

St. Anthony’s Sports and Therapy Services regularly partners with many orthopedic surgeons to present informative community lectures on a wide array of topics.

St. Anthony’s two other outpatient sports and therapy facilities are in the following locations:

• St. Anthony’s Sports and Therapy Center – South County, 12692 Lamplighter Square, located just off Tesson Ferry Road across from the medical center campus, in south St. Louis County
  
• St. Anthony’s Sports and Therapy Center – Arnold, located in Suite 160 of St. Anthony’s Arnold Urgent Care Center, 3619 Richardson Square Drive
