Employees collect for food drive
Donations from the employee food drive.
The Franciscan Outreach Committee of St. Anthony’s Medical Center’s mission team conducted a non-perishable-food drive Feb. 6 through 17, throughout the hospital’s campus and off-campus buildings. Employees donated enough food to fill three vans and three pickup trucks with canned and other non-perishable food items. The drive was held to benefit area food pantries, along with Brenden’s Friday Backpack, a program that provides children in need with meals when they are not at school. “Our employees at St. Anthony’s consistently express their deep compassionate concern for others,” said Sister Sandra Straub, CSJ, director of St. Anthony’s Mission Integration and Pastoral Care (pictured). “We are proud to be the conduit of their good works!”
