Fenton Urgent Care offers digital mammography

Residents of Fenton and the surrounding communities now need travel no further than their own backyard for the highest quality digital mammography services.

St. Anthonys Medical Center recently installed a digital mammography unit at Fenton Imaging and Outpatient Services, located in the Fenton Urgent Care building, 714 Gravois Road.

We want to reach out to this community with our high-quality, patient-focused breast care services, said Judi Elston, supervisor of St. Anthonys Breast Center. With this latest addition to our outpatient imaging services, we will be able to offer more convenient breast screening services to more women in our community.

St. Anthonys Fenton Imaging and Outpatient Services are available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Digital mammography screenings will be offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, beginning May 5.

The American Cancer Society recommends that all women age 40 and older get annual screening mammograms, said Anita Schnapp, M.D., a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology on staff at St. Anthonys. Annual screening is a very effective way to spot breast cancer at its very earliest stages and to help protect womens lives.

Dr. Schnapp is a partner in Premier Womens Health Care, whose practice is located in Suite 220 of the Fenton Urgent Care building.

In addition to the new digital mammography, the Fenton Imaging and Outpatient Services also offer a recently installed open MRI, ultrasound, CT scans and X-rays. Other services available at the Fenton site include Urgent Care, laboratory services, physical therapy, occupational medicine and physician practices. Fenton Urgent Care is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

Fenton Urgent Care is located at the southwest corner of Highway 141 and Gravois Road, just south of Highway 30. To reach the Urgent Care Center by phone, call 636-326-6120. To make an appointment for imaging services, call 314-525-4250.
