Chief Nursing Officer promoted to Office of the President
Beverly Bokovitz, MSN, R.N.
Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer Beverly Bokovitz, MSN, R.N., has been promoted to Office of the President at St. Anthony’s. Bokovitz, who joined St. Anthony’s in January, will continue to serve as Chief Nursing Officer. Her promotion was effective July 1.
“I am honored to have this opportunity to join the Office of the President,” said Bokovitz. “I have seen how well this leadership model works in improving the care we provide our patients and I look forward to adding my voice and my experiences to the office.”
Bokovitz joined St. Anthony’s from Akron General Health System in Akron, Ohio, where she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer from 2007 through the end of 2013. Under her leadership, Akron General’s nursing division earned Magnet Status in 2013 from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University as an Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She is working on her Doctorate in Nursing Leadership, which she expects to complete this year.
Bokovitz will be replacing Jack Mitstifer, M.D., in the Office of the President. Dr. Mitstifer will move into the role of Senior Advisor for St. Anthony’s.
“Jack’s leadership was instrumental in transforming our Emergency Department,” said Rindler. “We look forward to further benefitting from expertise as we continue to improve our emergency services.”
