Employees boost their donation to Heart Care Fund

St. Anthony’s and its employees are boosting their contribution to improve the health of their community. This year’s Employee Wellness Heart Care FUNd Campaign has raised $42,788, easily surpassing last year’s total of $38,667. Employees raised the money through a variety of fundraisers hosted by 25 departmental teams.

Now, the Heart Care FUNd Committee will decide how to use that money to improve the heart health of the community. Last year, the committee gave away automated external defibrillators (AEDs), an arm ergometer and an adjustable table, and covered the cost of cardiac rehab for several patients. The committee and St. Anthony’s Charitable Foundation are now accepting applications for requests for AEDs and other heart-health needs. If you know of an organization that could benefit, please have them fill out an application from St. Anthony’s Charitable Foundation. The deadline to apply is July 1.
