New Ortho-Spine Center Opens

Physical therapist assists patient with mat exercises.

St. Anthony’s Medical Center, the leading hospital in the St. Louis area for hip and knee replacements, announces the opening of its new Ortho-Spine Center.

The new Ortho-Spine Center, a “horizontal hospital within a hospital,” includes 62 all-private patient rooms, specifically designed to care for post-operative orthopedic patients. Click for media release

Fenton Urgent Care Offers Open MRI

Open MRI

St. Anthony’s Fenton Imaging and Outpatient Services, located in the Fenton Urgent Care Center, 714 Gravois Road, installed an Open MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) unit in March 2009.

The open MRI is less confining and restrictive than the closed tube, which can be intimidating, especially for people who are claustrophobic. Click for media release

The Joint Commission National Quality Approval Seal

Following a surprise inspection, surveyors from The Joint Commission praised St. Anthony’s inpatient and outpatient services, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health program, urgent care centers, and the home care/hospice programs.

Home Transport Program Offers Rides to Seniors and Disabled Adults to Medical Center Campus

Home Transport Van

One of the biggest problems encountered by older adults who are living independently is transportation. Many no longer are able to drive – or they never did. Some have developed a disability or special need for this type of service.

St. Anthony's new "Home Transport" program provides roundtrip transportation for adults age 60 and older and people with disabilities from their homes to St. Anthony’s campus. Click for media release
