The Vestibular Rehabilitation Program at St. Anthony’s Medical Center provides effective and compassionate treatment for people dealing with dizziness and balance disorders caused by the inner ear, the nerve to the ear, the brain or the sensory systems that regulate balance.
Specially trained therapists at the Vestibular Program perform an in-depth evaluation in order to design a treatment program to reduce each patient's individual symptoms. Since vestibular/balance problems may interfere with basic functions and the ability to enjoy life, the patient's goals are at the forefront of therapy.
Treatment may include any of the following:
All patients are educated on the purpose and importance of each exercise. Patients are given a home program that should be followed as prescribed by the therapist.
To participate in vestibular rehabilitation, you need a prescription from your physician. If you do not have a primary care physician or specialist, we can help refer you to one who is familiar with this condition. To make an appointment or to discuss any questions you have about our program, please call 314-849-2366.
