Help For Incontinence And Bladder Issues
Pelvic disorders such as prolapse and urinary incontinence can be inconvenient and embarrassing problems that may alter your lifestyle. They are common after childbirth and sometimes worsen with age. It is often not necessary to live with these conditions. Many therapies, both surgical and non-surgical, are available to treat these problems.
Types of Disorders
Successful treatment is available for many urinary and pelvic floor disorders. We offer treatment for the following conditions:
- Urge Incontinence or Overactive Bladder
- Stress Incontinence
- Vaginal Prolapse
- Nocturia (nighttime voiding)
- Vaginal Birth Related Injuries
- Fistulas
- Interstial Cystitis
Urinary incontinence affects women of all ages, but is especially common in women who are past menopause. Even though urinary incontinence is common, it is not something you have to "just live with." A variety of non-surgical and surgical treatment methods are available.
Did You Know:
Incontinence affects 10 million people in the United States?
Incontinence is more prevalent in women than high blood pressure, depression of diabetes?
Urinary incontinence costs $16.3 billion every year in absorbent products, related medical conditions, cleaning expenses, lost wages and diagnosis and treatment?
Incontinence causes an increased risk of falls, skin problems, social isolation and sexual inhibitions?
Most people empty their bladders four to eight times in 24 hours and only once at night?
Treatment Methods
The method of treatment depends on diagnostic results. Despite the high success rates, only one out of every 12 people affected seeks help for urinary incontinence. The three major categories of treatment are: behavioral, pharmacological and surgical.
