St. Anthony’s Medical Center’s Wound Treatment Center offers compassionate, comprehensive care for people who have non-healing wounds. Being healthy and active are two of life’s great pleasures. For people who have wounds that won’t heal, sometimes life can lose its enjoyment because of pain, fear and the inability to get around.
More than 5 million people in the U.S. suffer from chronic wounds that show no signs of healing after four to six weeks. For people with diabetes, poor circulation or long-term immobilization, a chronic wound can be a serious condition.
There is good news! Effective treatments can help heal wounds, and that’s what the Wound Treatment Center at St. Anthony’s Medical Center is all about. Our team of wound care specialists, doctors, nurses and other medical professionals use the latest, most advanced treatments to help wounds heal so that patients can feel better and get back to enjoying life.
Advanced Treatment
There are many medical conditions that cause non-healing wounds. Our program offers patients with chronic wounds and their physicians a comprehensive treatment program using advanced medical and surgical treatments. Our team of wound care specialists will design a treatment plan to meet the patient's individual needs, and keep the patient's physician involved in the treatment and recovery process. Treatment may begin during the first appointment.

- Complete medical history and wound assessment
- Debridement and surgical intervention
- Compression therapy
- Diabetes health management/evaluation

- Coordination with home care, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities and other healthcare providers

Many health plans cover wound care treatment. Coverage depends on your specific plan and any necessary referrals and/or authorizations that your plan may specify. Be sure to bring your insurance card and any other necessary paperwork when you visit our center. The Wound Treatment Center is located at 12700 Southfork Road, Suite 175, in the St. Anthony’s Medical Plaza building.
