St. Anthony's offers pharmacy services for you in two convenient locations:
Discharged Patient Pharmacy
The Discharged Patient Pharmacy is available for use by anyone admitted to our care for a one-time fill prior to discharge. For no-wait service, we'll deliver to your room! We accept nearly all insurances and a co-pay is required at the time of service.
Location
The Discharged Patient Pharmacy is located on the first floor near outpatient registration.

- 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday
- 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Retail Pharmacy
The Retail Pharmacy is open to the public and staff by friendly, professionals who are eager to assist you. They also can provide expert advice on compression hose fitting and breast pump rental and sales.

The Retail Pharmacy is located adjacent to the lobby of the Medical Office Building A.

Medication Guide
Take Your Medications Safely & Effectively
Medications are prescribed to improve a patient’s health – whether it’s to fight a disease, lower cholesterol or provide pain relief. But, medications must be taken properly to ensure the best results.
As many as 120,000 deaths occur each year due to medications, making medicine the second leading cause of death in the United States. Keep a list of all medications that you take (including prescribed medications, nonprescription medicines, herbal products and home remedies). Also, be sure to keep a list of all medications you cannot take due to allergic reactions. Share these with your physician and pharmacist.

Medication Safety Guidelines
- Learn the names of the medications you are prescribed or are given to you, as well as their dosage, strength and schedules. Ask for written information about the medication.
- Talk to your health care provider about how you actually take your medications, especially if it is different from how your medicines have been prescribed.
- Discuss whether you should avoid certain foods, beverages, medicines or activities while you are taking the drug.
- Ask questions if there is anything you do not understand or that doesn't seem right. If your medicines appear to have a different strength or appearance, tell your health care provider.
- When prescribed a new drug, repeat information about your prescription back to your doctor or pharmacist to make sure you understand it.
- Keep medications in their original container. May pills look alike, so keeping them in their original containers will help you avoid any confusion.
- Never take someone else’s medications.
- Read the label every time you take a dose to make sure you are taking the right medication and the right amount.
- Turn on the lights to take your medicines to avoid taking the wrong thing.
- Humidity, heat and light can affect your medications’ potency and safety. Don’t store medications in direct sunlight or in the bathroom medicine cabinet.
- Store medications where children cannot see or reach them. Also, store them separately from pets’ medications or household chemicals.
- Don’t chew, crush or break any capsules, unless instructed. Otherwise, long-acting medications could be absorbed too quickly when chewed, or the medication may be ineffective or make you sick.
- For liquid medications, use the measuring device that came with it to ensure the correct dosage.
- If you are too ill or unable to follow the instructions, ask a friend or relative to help administer your medicines.
