Nutrition Services & Weight Management
St. Anthony's Medical Center’s registered, licensed dietitians are experts in nutrition and skilled in education and behavior modification techniques. Nutrition counseling (medical nutrition therapy) may include assessment of nutrient needs, meal planning, label reading, and goal setting.
Patients can access medical nutrition therapy to meet their individual needs and physician-prescribed diet for:
- General nutrition and disease prevention
- Diabetes
- Nutrition during pregnancy, lactation and gestational diabetes
- Hypoglycemia
- High cholesterol
- High blood pressure
- Heart failure
- Kidney disease
- Weight management
- Eating disorders
- Celiac disease
- Gastrointestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel and Crohn's disease
- Nutrition counseling prior to weight loss surgery
- Congestive heart failure
- Nutrition history and assessment
- One-on-one individualized nutrition counseling

in a number of settings:
Outpatient

This motivational program on nutrition and weight management focuses on healthy eating, goal setting, exercise and fitness. Group classes are held once weekly for six weeks. Call 1-800-554-9550 to register or register online.
Perinatal Center
Small group sessions provide medical nutrition therapy for with gestational diabetes and weight-management needs during pregnancy. Call 314-525-4871 to set up a physician-referred appointment.
Wound Treatment Center
Clients undergoing treatment for wound healing can arrange individual medical nutrition therapy sessions. Call 314-525-4508 or 314-525-1798 to set up a physician-referred appointment.
Cancer/Radiation Oncology Center
Clients undergoing cancer treatments can arrange individual medical nutrition therapy sessions. Call 314-525-4508 or 314-525-1688 to set up a physician-referred appointment.
Cardiac Rehab
