Hyland Behavioral Health Services
Inpatient & Outpatient Services
Since 1977 St. Anthony’s Medical Center has been a leader in the delivery of behavioral health services for adults and adolescents through Hyland Behavioral Health Center. Hyland's services include acute inpatient care and outpatient services.
Acute Care Inpatient Services
Hyland operates in a multidisciplinary team model with the psychiatrist overseeing each patient’s care and treatment from admission through discharge. Each team is composed of RNs, an LPN, a master’s level case manager, recreational therapist, and nurse aid or tech. In addition, chaplain services, music therapy, nutrition and other services are available.
Inpatient Facilities:
- Hyland Behavioral Health’s inpatient program consists of the adult units comprised of 62 beds and one, 12 bed adolescent unit.
- All bedrooms are semi-private, although a private room is possible under certain circumstances and when warranted.
- The units are co-educational with each bedroom having its own bathroom.
Outpatient Services
The outpatient programs at Hyland are many and varied. Patients are evaluated and placed in the level of care that best meets their particular need through an Assessment and Referral program.
The program is staffed by Licensed Clinical Social Workers 24 hours per day. For an Assessment and Referral, patients may make an appointment, walk in or be referred from St. Anthony's Medical Center Emergency Room or one of the medical floors.
The program levels are:
- Partial Hospital Program for adults and adolescents: Patients attend several days per week for five services per day.
- Intensive Outpatient Program for adults and adolescents: Patients attend several times per week for a minimum of three services per day.
- Evening Intensive Outpatient Program for Chemical Dependency: This program meets several times per week for three hours per day.
- Evening Clinic: Groups include chemical dependency treatment aftercare, anger management and other topic oriented groups. Groups meet weekly for one and one-half hours. Most groups last for six weeks.
