Know These Warning Signs of a Stroke

Seconds on a clock count the time to seek treatment for a stroke. Stroke is the 3rd leading cause of death and the leading cause of serious, longterm disability in the U.S.

The moments after a stroke or “brain attack” strikes could be the most important of your life. You only have a short window of time to get treatment from skilled experts before deadly or debilitating effects occur.

Every second counts – because time lost is brain lost:

  • Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
  • Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
  • Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
  • Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
  • Sudden, severe headache with no known cause

What's your stroke risk?
