Celebrations
We honor and celebrate our employees’ accomplishments, milestones and outstanding efforts.
- Each quarter, we recognize with a “Service from the Heart” award employees who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for their patients.
- When employees reach 25 years of service with St. Anthony’s, they are inducted into the Quarter Century Club, which honors their years of service and includes an annual dinner with the CEO. More than 350 employees belong to the Quarter Century Club.
- Employees celebrating milestone service anniversaries receive a gift of their choice from a catalogue offering a wide selection of gifts.
- In addition to year-round recognition programs, we sponsor an Employee Appreciation Week, a week-long celebration honoring our employees that includes gifts, food, and raffles.
- Employees have an opportunity to get involved in an annual employee giving campaign, “We Care and We Share,” that helps St. Anthony’s take care of our own employees, our medical center and our community.

- Employees’ top priorities, as indicated in the annual employee survey, are incorporated into the organization’s goals and objectives as well as made a part of each manager’s action plan for the year.
- Employee Advisory Council, composed of employees across all areas and disciplines, meets every month to discuss how to ensure a positive and healthy working climate for all employees.
- Leadership Advisory Council was formed to bring ideas and recommendations that are aligned with the organization’s mission and values to St. Anthony’s leadership.
To be sure we are living the values and adhering to our service from the heart standards, teams comprised of staff and management meet regularly.
- Employer of Choice team meets monthly to identify ways to improve the work environment and to increase retention through employee loyalty. Team members focus on such areas as recruitment, on-boarding, new employee orientation, department-specific orientation and retention and improvement opportunities related to employee satisfaction survey results. The team also monitors trends in employee turnover, identifying opportunities and making suggestions for reducing turnover.
- Communications team insures that both inspiration and information get passed throughout the hospital, clearly and in a timely manner.
- Rewards and Recognition team plans educational activities to bring to life the behaviors that are aligned with our values.
