“Before nursing school, I wanted to teach. I realized that nursing offered the chance to help people and to teach. My very first clinical rotation was at St. Anthony’s on orthopedics. I knew right then, I wanted to work in that area…I absolutely couldn’t resist the atmosphere.

“I love talking to patients, educating them and making them feel good. There are patients who have made a lasting impact on me—people I’ll never forget.
