Executive Chef Anthony Laub, who has been selected as one of four finalists in the Premier Healthcare Alliance Culinary Creation Contest. Tony's dish, Marinated Pork Chop with Ancient Grain–Roasted Root Vegetable Medley, will be prepared by a hotel chef at a special dinner during Premier's annual conference June 11 through 14 in San Antonio, Texas. Patrons of the dinner will vote on the dishes, and one of the finalists will receive the Culinary Cup for outstanding recipe of the year. Best wishes for a tasty victory, Tony! (5/20/2013)

Pedro Suarez-Solar, M.D., who was honored with a Lifesaver Award by the American Red Cross at a banquet May 9 for his lifesaving actions. Dr. Solar provided medical attention, including CPR, to a woman who had collapsed on the floor at a wedding reception, until paramedics arrived. (5/10/2013)
