Need It
“I just needed someone to tell me I could survive this disease.”

For De Soto resident Herman White, a prostate cancer support group was the perfect way to find much-needed inspiration and information. Meeting regularly and bringing in guest speakers such as physicians and counselors, support groups are a way to find others with similar medical conditions and questions.
“We can offer a warm handshake, information and hope to anyone who comes to our meetings,” says social worker Ray Kopsky, a facilitator for St. Anthony’s Prostate Cancer Support Group.
