Instructed by Jean Curtis. Pilates is a low impact method of exercise designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles especially core muscles. Through a series of mat exercises that strengthen back and leg muscles, and tighten, strengthen and flatten the stomach, participants will build endurance, improve posture, balance, flexibility and can decrease or prevent back pain. Exercises can be adapted to provide gentle strengthening as well as more challenging forms as ability increases. This is an excellent class to build a healthier and stronger body.

This class meets 5 times, each Thursday through August 2, 2018.
