Instructed by Debbie Daugherty. While seated, combines a variety of gentle yoga poses, deep relaxing breathing and meditation. Improves flexibility, stretches muscles, exercises joints, and builds muscle strength improving balance and stability. Increases circulation, releases muscle tension bringing peace and relaxation to body and mind. Helpful for adults who are elderly, or who have weight issues, arthritis, diabetes, heart or lung disease, osteoporosis or multiple sclerosis and for those who need or prefer to exercise while seated. Modifications are made to accommodate students' levels of ability.
