Anish Thomas, MD, FACC, FSCAI, interventional cardiologist
St. Anthony’s is adding to its heart and vascular
team with the addition of interventional cardiologist Anish Thomas, MD, FACC, FSCAI.
Dr. Thomas is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, vascular medicine and endovascular medicine. He specializes in complex peripheral vascular interventions, treatment for critical limb ischemia and limb salvage. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Thomas performs the entire spectrum of coronary interventions, the majority of which are performed transradial. He also performs structural heart interventions including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
Dr. Thomas completed his fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass., and completed his fellowship in vascular and endovascular medicine at the Miriam Hospital, Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University in Providence, R.I. He joins St. Anthony’s from the SSM Health Heart Institute where he served St. Clare Hospital as its director of the cardiac catheterization lab and invasive cardiology and its STEMI medical director. He also serves as an assistant professor of medicine at Saint Louis University.
