The March of Dimes
has named two St. Anthony’s Medical Center nurses as finalists in its Nurse of the Year awards
. They join 65 of their Mercy
co-workers as finalists for this honor. Selected nurses exemplify an extraordinary level of patient care, compassion and customer service in 21 categories.
Lisa DeVore, RN, Surgical
ICU, a member of the Rapid Response and Stroke
teams, is a finalist in the critical care category. Kathy Stephens Williams, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, RN-BC, Education Specialist in Professional Practice and Staff Development, is a finalist in the education category.
The March of Dimes Nurse of the Year program is a statewide event that recognizes exceptional nurses in Missouri and the Metro East area, creates awareness of professional excellence, and promotes the future of nursing while helping to advance the mission of the March of Dimes.
This year's Nurse of the Year Awards Gala is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. Winning nurses will be announced on the night of the event in all categories except for Legend in Nursing, which is announced earlier.
