Vascular Surgeon joins St. Anthony’s Heart & Vascular Institute team

The team of specialists at St. Anthony’s Heart & Vascular Institute is expanding with the addition of vascular surgeon Matthew Abate, MD.
Dr. Abate's special interests include treating carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, peripheral artery disease and varicose veins. He completed his residency in vascular surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and earned both his Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University. He is a member of both the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Abate joins fellow vascular surgeons Brian Peterson, MD, and Gary Peterson, MD, with St. Anthony’s Heart Specialty Associates.
