Members' Only Events

Over the summer we hosted free bone density screenings and held a Get Fit Walking Clinic in Minnie Ha Ha Park in Sunset Hills. Diane Mannisi of Fenton was among our Get Fit members who participated in the walking clinic. “I wanted to learn about stretching and get information on the right way to exercise,” says Mannisi. “I also thought it would be fun to get together with a group of walkers.” Also in the group was Joann Hunter, who has made remarkable progress on her own goal to lose weight. “I came at the invitation of a friend to see what it was all about,” she says. “I've lost more than 70 pounds over the past year-and-a-half, by watching what I eat and doing water aerobics and other exercise. I'm looking for new ways to keep that progress going.”
