Were Unique. What Sets Us Apart?

We're proud that our patient satisfaction rates have consistently been very high.

Expert care. Outstanding results. Whenever you need to consider orthopedic surgery, St. Anthony’s has experienced nursing and therapy staff as well as excellent surgical outcomes.

“We have a lower complication rate (19 percent better than the national average) and a lower mortality rate (48 percent better than the national average)* for orthopedic care compared to other hospitals in the nation,” says Kathy Cepicky, RN, manager of Orthopedics. “We also have far fewer readmissions due to complications than most hospitals.”

St. Anthony’s has one of the region’s largest orthopedic programs and is the leading area hospital for hip and knee replacement surgery. One year ago, the hospital celebrated the opening of its Heart and Surgical Pavilion, with state-of-the-art operating suites. The new Ortho-Spine Center, which debuted in late August, enables St. Anthony’s to offer premier orthopedic care with experienced orthopedic nurses, both in surgery and on the patient floor.

“Our nursing staff and highly skilled therapists have been with us for years, and all are specially trained to care for patients with orthopedic or spinal conditions,” says Cepicky. “The orthopedic surgeons say that our staff is knowledgeable and caring, and we’re proud that our patient satisfaction rates have consistently been very high.”
