Stroke Accreditation

Level One Stroke

St. Anthony’s is one of the few hospitals in the St. Louis area to be certified as a Level 1 Stroke Center, the highest level of stroke care available as accredited by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. When Missouri’s new Stroke Center designations began in 2015, St. Anthony’s was one of only five hospitals in the St. Louis area and one of ten hospitals in Missouri to be named a Level 1 Stroke Center. It means we have the expertise and technological resources to quickly diagnose and treat any type of stroke within one hour of arrival.
