Parenting your Teenager

Love and Logic is a way of working with children that puts parents back in control, teaches children to be responsible, and prepares young people to live in the real world, with its many choices and consequences.

How to Talk so Kids Will Listen and Listen so Kids Will Talk focuses on down-to-earth methods to give adults the skills they need to create relationships with their children that are less stressful and more rewarding.

Participants will learn key concepts from both of these models:

  • Avoid un-winnable power-struggles and arguments
  • Engage your child’s willing cooperation
  • Stay calm and empathetic when your kids do incredibly upsetting things
  • Set enforceable limits
  • Deal with your child’s negative feelings – frustration, disappointment, anger
  • Avoid enabling and begin empowering
  • Help your kids learn from mistakes rather than repeating them
  • Raise kids who are family team members rather than demanding dictators
  • And much more!
