Heart Care Team Expands with Addition of Cardiologist

St. Louis native Ben Morrison, M.D., is joining the team of cardiologists caring for patients with St. Anthony’s Heart Specialty Associates.
Dr. Morrison is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He is a cardiac imaging specialist with experience being part of a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) team.
Dr. Morrison grew up in St. Louis and headed to the University of Missouri where he earned his undergraduate and medical degrees. He completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic Rochester, where he served as chief resident and simultaneously as assistant professor in medicine. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he served as chief fellow. He has been part of the teaching faculty for internal medicine residents at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield for the last two years and served as a physician champion during the initiation of St. Luke’s TAVR team. He is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography.
Dr. Morrison joins 18 other physicians and 16 nurse practitioners caring for the heart and vascular needs of patients at St. Anthony’s Heart Specialty Associates, which has seven offices. Dr. Morrison will see patients in the Physicians Office Center on St. Anthony’s main campus, 10012 Kennerly Road, Suite 300 and at St. Anthony’s at Southwest Medical Center, 7345 Watson Road, Shrewsbury, MO 63119.
