Current Practice Opportunities

Radiation Oncology

Practice Details:

St. Anthony’s diagnoses 1100 new analytic cases per year. Radiation Oncology has more than 550 new patient visits per year, with 40 – 50 patients on daily treatment. We are a fully integrated Varian department. We have two, linear accelerators a 21EX and a Trilogy. Both are IMRT, MLC, EPID and OBI-IGRT enabled. The Trilogy is equipped for linear accelerator based stereotactic radiosurgery. The record and verify system is Varian’s Aria Patient Management System and the Eclipse TPS. We have a G.E. Pet/CT located within the department and a Varian Ximatron for simulations. The PACS Radiology system and Aria applications are accessible throughout the department via workstations or wireless tablets. Some of our other services include Prostate Seed Implants, using Variseed software and HDR, MammoSite using the Gamma Med Plus and Gamma Med IT. On staff are two physicists, one (1) PH.D board certified and one (1) M.S. board eligible. We also have seven (7) certified radiation therapists and two (2) board certified dosimetrists.
