Memmolo Scholarship - Deadline May 15
Most recently a wonderful gift has been bestowed to SAMC employees and their family members by Rizziero and Asteria Memmolo. In memory of their son, Jerry, they have provided a new scholarship opportunity. As you all know, Dr. Memmolo loved St. Anthony’s and his parents have contributed a great deal to the Medical Center to honor his life. This new scholarship is available NOW!
Scholarship Specifics:
- Open to an employee or child of an employee enrolled in a healthcare program of study
- Must demonstrate financial need
- One renewable $1,500 scholarship will be made for school year 2008-2009
- Recipients may attend the college of their choice
- Application deadline May 15, 2008
A new Memmolo Scholarship recipient will be added each year with the eventual goal of having four recipients at all times. This scholarship will be of particular interest to families whose children attend colleges outside of Missouri or the SIU campuses and, of course, to our employees who are working on healthcare degrees.
Bridge Grants Available for Nurses
St. Anthony's nurses, who are pursuing advanced education can receive up to $10,000 per academic year through the 2008 Nursing Bridge Grant Program, sponsored by the Missouri Hospital Association's Center for Education.
Applications for the 2008 program are available online at www.mohealthcareers.com and www.mhanet.com or in St. Anthony's education department or Intranet. Applications are due May 22, 2008.
